Handmade in our small workshop in the South Lakes, our Mountain Range Inlay Ring offers a unique and completely bespoke piece of jewellery, featuring beautiful slate from the Lake District.
 
As a default we use Westmorland Green slate, which is a green-grey colour. If you would like another colour / slate from a different area, just let us know. 
 
We create a design featuring any mountain or mountains of your choice, capturing your memories or favourite places forever.
 
Perfect as a wedding ring, gift, or special treat for yourself, each ring is crafted to bring the beauty of the landscape to you. A truly special way to carry a piece of the Lake District with you, wherever you go.
 
This ring can be customised in a number of ways, including:
- adding gemstone/s to mark a special location
- using slate from different places
- laser engraving on the inside
- adding special features / mixes of materials (please contact us with your idea)

THE PROCESS
Order through our website and if you have an image, provide it via email to info@lakelandrings.co.uk
We send you 3D printed, bio-degradeable sizing rings in a selection of sizes around your chosen size, and in your chosen width 
Once size is confirmed, we create a digital design of your favourite mountain outline. The design proposal is sent to you via email as pictures and video.
Design is tweaked / finalised
Final ring is made and delivered to you! 
 
HOW CAN I LET YOU KNOW THE MOUNTAIN OUTLINE I WOULD LIKE?
Simply put your chosen mountain/s in the notes box when ordering, or email us separately at info@lakelandrings.co.uk with your order number. If you have a picture that would be great. We can also work with what three words references, or Google map pins. We want to get the exact view you would like to capture. Designing takes a good deal of time so please do be specific about the view you would like. 
 
HOW DO I KNOW THE WIDTH TO CHOOSE?
This is completely down to your comfort levels. An average width would be 6mm. If you like a wider ring or if your chosen mountains have a good amount of elevation, choose 7 or 8mm. The 3D printed sizing rings we send you will help confirm that the width and size will be comfortable for you.
We can make wider rings however these would be subject to a quote - please contact us for more information. 
 
WILL THIS RING BE OK AS A WEDDING RING?
Yes! Our mountain rings are popular as wedding rings. The slate is protected under many layers of protective coating and does not need any upkeep. We just ask that you keep the ring away from heavy pressures and cleaning chemicals, to keep your ring looking its best. If you accidentally damage your ring, please get in touch. We are always happy to help. 
 
I LIKE MOUNTAINS FROM OTHER PLACES - NOT JUST THE LAKES. CAN THIS WORK?
Yes! We provide a digital design for every ring and can include any mixture of mountains. We knit them together digitally and send them to you as pictures and video so you can see exactly what your final ring will look like. We can make any tweaks before making the final ring.
