Custom Mountain Rings

Unique to Lakeland Rings

Your Ring - Your Way

We design and hand craft every mountain ring in our small workshop on the southern tip of the Lake District, so we can make your ring(s) exactly how you want them. You're welcome to send us your own image or combination of images and we'll design your ring from scratch. You have complete freedom over the size, width, precious metal choice and inlay material. We make the whole process as simple as possible - below is a quick overview, but if you want to dive straight in feel free.

Choose Your Metal and Place Your Order
We can make your custom mountain ring in silver, platinum, 9ct or 18ct yellow gold, rose gold or white gold. Each metal has a different appeal and you're free to choose whichever one you like - read our thoughts on each metal here. Please contact us for an 18ct gold quote - given the volatility of gold prices at the minute we'll provide a quote which is valid for 10 days.

Step 1

Currently the above mountain listings default to using Westmorland Green slate as an inlay. This is beautiful and we love it, but you don't have to! Just let us know when you order if you have a favourite inlay material in mind. It could be slate from your favourite area, granite you've collected from the spot you got engaged, sand from your favourite beach...practically anything. We're working on making this more intuitive on the website at the minute, but until then please feel free to drop us a message and ask if something is possible - it usually is.

Sizing

Step 2

We've developed a really simple process to ensure the ring size and width you select is perfect before we make the real thing - biodegradable 3D printed rings. We'll send you a set of printed sizers after you order - you tell us which fits the best, then you can return them or throw them in the bin or compost guilt free. It's a material called Colorfab AllPHA.

Step 3

You'll be given an option of uploading an image of your favourite skyline, or providing a link when you order. You're also welcome to provide a map pin, grid reference or what 3 words location and we'll work from that. We can also combine several fells onto a single ring if you like.

We've designed rings with mountains from all over the world, so don't feel restricted to the Lake District. You could have Mont Blanc on one side of the ring, Catbells on the other and El Capitan in the middle if you like!

Design

Whichever ranges you go for, we will manually stitch together images from your chosen location(s) and show how that will translate to the ring.

Before providing a fully rendered design to give you an opportunity to request changes and ultimately approve the design.

That's it!

Step 4

One we have your size and design approval we'll make the ring. We work as quickly as we can, but as each ring is handmade to order it can take some time. Our current turnaround times are shown when you order - they can vary throughout the year depending on how busy we are, but we will always work with you to make sure any important dates are met - please make sure we know about your important date when you order!
