Steel Rings

PXL_20231029_113006209_edited.jpg
Stainless steel is a great material for making jewellery - it's hard, tough and easy to work with, plus it polishes up really well. In a nod to Rob's  marine engineering background we've selected 316L and 304L stainless steel, so you can be assured it won't rust!

Please be aware that practically all stainless steels contain some nickel, so if you have a known nickel allergy we'd advise opting for a precious metal instead. We can add a silver or gold lining to our steel rings, but we can't cover the outer edges.

We love slate! There are so many subtle colour variations, even just within the Lake District, that every ring we make is completely unique. All our Lake District slate is sourced by us from local suppliers, primarily from around Coniston, Elterwater and Keswick; though we can supply slate from anywhere in the Lake District if you have a preference. Maybe you've collected a small piece of slate during a special walk and would like it turning into a ring - if so let us know when you order and we'll let you know where to send it. We also use the beautiful heather blue slate from Wales, which is an amazing light purple (heather!) colour, but we are always looking for new materials to use so let us know if you have something in mind.
